Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Matriculation Certificate recognized by the Central Board/State Board or ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT or an equivalent National Apprenticeship Certificate recognized by NCVT in any trade.
Age Limit
The age limit will be decided by the railway board as per available information candidates belonging to the age between 18 to 33 years (as of 1 January 2024) would be eligible to apply for the application. An age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per norms decided by the board.
Registration Fees

Selection Process for RRB Group D Vacancies
The selection process of the Railway Recruitment Board includes three stages. These are provided below:-
- Written Examination:- The first stage is to examine the analytical skills and knowledge of candidates to choose the suitable person for the posts. The written exam is based on an online mode organized by the examination board in various centres across the country. It is an objective type examination that contains 100 questions of each of 1 mark in 90 minutes. There is a penalty of 1/3 for each wrong answer.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):- Those candidates who clear the minimum cut-off decided by the board of the CBT exam will then be called for the PET (Physical Efficiency Test).
- Document Verification: The next stage is document verification in which candidates need to present at regional allotted centres with their original documents.
- Medical Examination:- After verifying the document, the RRB released the list of selected candidates for medical examination with dates and centres. Candidates need to present in their physical form.
- Post Allocation:- Candidates who are supposed to be fit and capable according to the post and a new list will be released with their post allocation and date of joining.

Candidates can apply for recruitment by using the online web portal. The following steps provide a way for interested applicants to fill out the form:-
- Go to the official website of the Railway Recruiting Board at indianrailways.gov.in.
- Find the “Recruitment” section there and click on it.
- A page will appear to click on the “RRB Group D 2024 Vacancy” link.
