Nov-Dec Session 2024 Restored in J&K This Year, Exams in November: Education Minister
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced it will shift the academic session for students up to the 9th grade back to November-December, moving away from the current March session.
J&K’s Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, confirmed this change in an interview with Kashmir News Observer (KNO), adding that the academic session for students in grades 10 to 12 will be restored to November-December starting next year.
In 2022, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir introduced a Uniform Academic Calendar beginning with the 2022-23 school year, which aligned all sessions to a March schedule. This recent decision marks a return to the traditional calendar for younger students.
