The School Education Department has recently released a directive regarding provisional admissions for students who have not passed or did not meet the requirements in one or more subjects during the board exams conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). In response to complaints received by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) regarding the denial of provisional admissions, the department has instructed all government and private schools affiliated with JKBOSE to grant provisional admissions to these students.

With these provisional admissions, students will be able to continue their studies in the next higher class until the announcement of the Annual (Pvt) and bi-annual examination results in 2023.

However, if any of the provisionally admitted candidates are declared unsuccessful in one or more subjects once the results are published, their admissions will be automatically revoked. The directive stresses the importance of spreading awareness and instructs school authorities to inform all relevant parties, including students and teachers, about the provision for provisional admissions as per the government order and notifications issued by JKBOSE.
Who is Eligible For Admission in 11th & 12th
As per the directive from the School Education Department, provisional admissions are now available for all candidates who did not pass the board exams administered by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). This provision applies to students who have either failed or need to retake one or more subjects.
These students are now eligible for provisional admission to the next grade until the Annual (Pvt) and bi-annual examination results are announced in 2023. However, it is crucial to understand that if any candidate admitted provisionally is declared unsuccessful in one or more subjects after the results are published, their admission will be automatically revoked.
